We are a Full Service Community School!

We believe that all children should be safe, healthy, supported by meaningful adult allies, and have strong sense of self to develop into their fullest potential. We believe it is the responsibility of the Vallejo full service community-based school collaborative to ensure this occurs.

Full Service Community School

The Staff of Loma Vista is here to help all students achieve their academic and social potential.  We will be hiring an ASP to work with students, teachers, parents, and the principal to bring all resources together to achieve our goals.  If your family or your student would like to explore all that we have available in the VCUSD and at Loma Vista, visit room 35 today.

Restorative Justice

Restorative Justice is a set of principles that guide the response to conflict and harm.  There are three main goals:

1.       Accountability-Restorative justice strategies provide opportunities for wrongdoers to be accountable to those they have harmed, and enable them to repair the harm they caused to the extent possible.

2.       Community safety-Restorative justice recognizes the need to keep the community safe through strategies that build relationships and empower the community to take responsibility for the well-being of its members.

3.       Competency development-Restorative justice seeks to increase the pro-social skills of those who have harmed others, address underlying factors that lead youth to engage in delinquent behavior, and build on strengths in each young person.

Interested in Becoming a School Volunteer?

VCUSD believes that parent participation in our schools is a great way to engage students and increase academic, social, and attendance goals.  For parents/guardians to become eligible to volunteer on campus and field trips, each adult must have a current clear TB test and have a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance through our Human Resources Department on Mare Island at 665 Walnut Ave, Vallejo.  Below is a description of the process, but the process can not be done on-line.
